Training

In Yo Ryu Ju Jitsu meets twice weekly on Tuesdays 7.30 pm until 9.30 pm in Hadleigh, at the Daws Heath Community Hall, Daws Heath Road and on Thursdays from 7:30pm until 9.30pm at St. Laurence Church hall, Eastwoodburylane, Southend SS2 6RH

Typical training session starts with a complete body warm up including hand and body conditioning

In Yo Ju Jitsu trains the mind and spirit (ki) as well as the physical body, through exercises, and techniques such as striking, blocking, locking, and throwing.

Ki is also used for defence against strangles, chokes, locks and strikes, as well as, or in combination with mechanical movements

Training is kept contemporary using up to date realistic street examples as well as syllabus and weapon training. A lot of emphasis is based on quick ending of situations by powerful attacks followed by throws and locks.

Use of contemporary street dialog and vocal calming, and disarming techniques are also employed

In Yo Ju Jitsu also teaches good mental disciplines, morals and etiquette, and maintains that martial techniques are a last resort when all other avenues are closed.
